Hobbies and interests of Carly Gooch
This is my attempt two at a shirt for sammy. Many cotton shirts have a collar stand (think that is what it is called) whereas the pattern didn’t. I made up one for this shirt.
There is no puckering and everything sits as it should and the arms and seams are inline so I’m happy with the effort. While it has a lot of improvements on the last one and I have learnt more again, it still is far from perfect.
Last Sunday, I started on a new sewing adventure. I must admit that it has been my most challenging adventure so far. Here is the final result.
Overall I’m really proud of my effort. I’m especially happy with the checks lining up and the buttons. The collar and sleeves were really challenging! for a newbie like me. I’ve learnt a lot through the experience and now have 3 other pieces of cotton to implement my learnt lessons.
