I was searching for one of my favourite dev extensions for firefox Colorzilla when I found Palette Grabber. It saves out the colour scheme of the website (not graphics) into a colour pallete for various programs. Colorzilla lets you pick a colour from any part of firefox. I think they will work nicely together.

I guess when we need to make faces on cakes they will have to have green eyes.

This is a great article on writing AS3 in flex builder.

While flex has its place, there is also a need to be able to write applications just out of as3. There seems to be only a little bit of info on this. The article, amoung other things, goes through setting up an as3 project, setting up ctrl+enter to debug and running the program as a swf instead of a html page.
