unable to locate …… en_gb\framework_rb.swc
I am mucking around with flex 2 as stated below and will start recording issues and solutions here for the benifit of others and also for a record to myself 🙂
I created a flex 2 application and received this error in the problems box as soon as the project was created…
Unable to open c:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 2 Beta 2\Flex Framework 2\frameworks\locale\en_gb\framework_rb.swc
I went to locate the folder and discovered that en_gb did not exist but en_US did. I copied the en_US folder, named it en_gb, went back to flash and saved it and it all works 🙂
Knowing that somebody else would have probably had the same issue I went searching and found this informative thread on the adobe forums.

Update on website progress
The move of hosts has prompted me to do a bit of reorganising around here. I have merged my personal website with my portfolio website for the time being. I do not have the time to keep both up to date and a portfolio is not a lot of use when I am not looking for work and don’t have anything new and exciting to show.
I decided not to bring the gallery across. The new wordress has the ability to upload files to posts. If I get ambitious I will write a little script to turn the uploaded files into some form of a gallery.

New web host
I have just switched to a new web host. Now comes the fun part of moving all the files from the old site to the new site. Yay, yippie, ok not really happy about it. I needed to make the change because I was sick of the downtime of the database server and webserver of the old host.
